Oasis Of Love Fellowship
2008 Teen Report
Our Teen Retreat was an immense success.  The Lord went beyond and above what we had asked of him to do during the retreat. We had anticipated and planned for between 15 – 20 teenagers but 29 of them showed up. We even had to say no to a few who had asked to come the last few days because of space limitation.

The two day retreat started on Friday night with an evening service during which one teen accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior, another one rededicated her life to Christ and many others came forward for prayers to be delivered from many forms of bondage.    There were a variety of topics taught including: dangers of tobacco, alcohol, drugs, and premarital sex, how to resist peer pressure, how to set goals and excel in school and in life etc.  There were also separate sessions for boys and girls.

At the end many of the teens reported they had learnt many new things and also made many new friends.
The program was full of fun stuff including outdoors activities such as banya, tug of war, badminton, football, bicycle racing, hide and seek and many other nameless games.  Indoor activities included musical chairs, cha cha slide, two truths and a lie among others.

Asked what they enjoyed most, most boys said they enjoyed the outdoor activities and the nyama choma while most girls said they enjoyed having a sleepover with so many other girls.  The retreat was organized by Oasis of Love Fellowship for the purpose of providing fellowship to teens in a Godly and  fun filled environment.
